I am always skeptical of stories I read on social media. When something goes viral quickly, the more truthful details often get left behind. One of my go-to mantras is "Snopes it before you post it." In other words--verify the veracity of a story before you spread it further. (And please, please, please, check Snopes for up-to-date fact- checking/rumor-busting!). That said, there are many ways you can figure out of a story is true or not. This article details six ways you can check to see of a story is true or not--all within minutes, or even seconds! Don't let the web get the best of you--find the truth for yourself. |
